Rollo in Blues
What is it?
Rollo in Blues, as the name suggests, is a summer event based on the best blues music. However, the blues played in Rollo also had numerous influences, from swing to country, giving artists the ability to range in their music.
The warm and welcoming environment of the Borgo creates an informal and friendly atmosphere, which leads to direct contact between the artists and the public, with the addition of excellent Ligurian dishes prepared on the spot.
Entrance, as for all our evenings, is absolutely free.
Rollo in Blues is therefore an unmissable event for lovers of this musical genre, who will be able to find it in a fascinating place overlooking the sea where local and national artists perform live in the magical evening atmosphere of the Borgo.
History
This initiative was born in 2014 after the split of the Gruppo Rollo 99 association.
The idea is based on a proposal by Elio Eugenio Arrighetti. Rollese guitarist, blues and country singer, founding member of the "Elio & Rollo Blues Band". Who performed first on Rollo's stage. At the time we were a small and almost unknown initiative, which relied exclusively on the enthusiasm of a few citizens. However, this was the beginning of a now ten-year history of music and community, which saw the participation of numerous blues groups in parallel with the "Note tra gli Ulivi" concerts.
Participation was always strong and enthusiastic, attracting not only its citizens to the Borgo but also many tourists who were captivated by the informal and warm environment and the sincere blues played on stage.
